Bouls:

 con questo termine viene indicato generalmente un prodotto dalle caratteristiche qualitative superiori; a seconda del luogo di provenienza dell’essenza e di commercializzazione della stessa si fa riferimento a tavole Refilate o da Refilare, ricavate da tronchi diversi o da un’unica pianta (in quest’ultimo caso si parla di “Tronco ricomposto in Bouls” poiché, successivamente alla segagione, le tavole a doppio smusso ottenute vengono ordinate ricreando la forma del tronco di partenza).

Bouls:

 this term generally indicates a product with superior quality characteristics; reference is made to boards, taken from different trunks or a single plant according to the place of origin and sales area, that are Trimmed or to be Trimmed (in this case the phrase “Trunk recomposed in Bouls” is used because after sawing, the double chamfered boards obtained are ordered recreating the shape of the original trunk).

COMMON:

termine usato per identificare qualità generalmente adatte alla realizzazione di sportelli da cucina, pavimenti a tavole e a listelli e di buona parte di componenti per mobili.

COMMON:

term used to identify the quality level that is generally suitable for making kitchen doors, board and plank flooring and most furniture components.

COMSEL:

 definizione che identifica la scelta COMMON migliorata.

COMSEL:

 definition that identifies the improved COMMON selection.

EXPORT/SELECT QUALITY:

 la prima è utilizzata per identificare tronchi di Teak Burma che possono presentare alcuni difetti sui fianchi e che vengono destinati principalmente alla sega per la produzione di tavolame; la seconda distingue invece tronchi di prima qualità, eccellenti per struttura e colorazione, destinati solitamente alla trancia.

EXPORT/SELECT QUALITY:

 the first is used to identify Teak Burma trunks that may have some defects on the sides and which are destined mainly for sawing into boards; the second, instead, defines top quality trunks, excellent in structure and colouring, usually destined for engineered veneer.
 

FAS, FAS F1F, SELECT:

 assortimenti particolarmente indicati per lunghe modanature prive di difetti, prodotti per finiture come infissi per porte, architettura d’interni nonché per mobili che richiedano un’elevata percentuale di tagli lunghi e larghi.

FAS, FAS F1F, SELECT:

special assortments that are particularly suitable for long moulding without defects, finishing products such as door casings, indoor architecture and furniture that requires many long and wide cuts.

PRIME:

definizione che identifica il livello qualitativo superiore alle prime scelte FAS, FAS F1F e SELECT, che per questo motivo devono intendersi migliorate.

PRIME:

definition that identifies a higher quality level than the FAS, FAS F1F and SELECT qualities which, for this reason, must be considered improved.

Tavole da Refilare:

 con questo classificazione vengono individuate tavole con due smussi ottenute dal solo taglio del tronco parallelamente al suo asse longitudinale.

Boards to be Trimmed:

 this classification includes boards with two chamfers, obtained from cutting the trunk parallel to its longitudinal axis only.
 

Tavole Semirefilate:

 il prodotto è costituito dalla tavola refilata su un lato, quindi con la presenza di uno smusso soltanto.

Semi-trimmed boards:

the product is made up of a board that has been trimmed on one side, therefore having only one chamfer.

Tavole Refilate:

 il prodotto è refilato su entrambi i lati.

Trimmed Boards:

the product has been trimmed on both sides

Tavole Prismate:

 quando si parla di tavolame prismato si fa riferimento alla composizione del pacco di vendita: un pacco si dice prismato quando contiene tutte tavole della stessa larghezza.

Prismatic Boards:

when speaking of prismatic boards, reference is made to the composition of the sales package: a package is called prismatic when it contains only boards of the same width.

Tavole Prismate Multilamate:

 a differenza del prodotto precedente, per il quale il pacco monolarghezza viene formato per mezzo di una selezione manuale tra le diverse larghezze di produzione, qui le tavole di una data larghezza sono direttamente ottenute dal il processo di sfilagione alla Multilama.

Multilaminar Prismatic Boards:

 differently from the previous product, where the single size package of boards is formed by manually selecting from the different widths being produced, in this case boards of a given width are obtained directly from the Multiblade narrower cut process.

Sfilagione:

con questo termine si fa riferimento al processo di lavorazione con cui una tavola di data larghezza viene segata parallelamente all’asse longitudinale per ottenere due o più tavole dello stesso spessore ma di minor larghezza. Le tavole Prismate così ottenute, se di larghezza generalmente non superiore a 130 mm, vengono denominate Listoni.

Narrower cut:

this term indicates the working process in which a board of a given width is sawn in parallel to the longitudinal axis to obtain two or more narrower boards but with the same thickness. Prismatic tables obtained in this manner, if having a width that is generally not above 130 mm, are called Scantling.

Sideboards:

 termine che indica le prime tavole ricavate dalla segagione del tronco: sono pertanto le più esterne rispetto al centro e, ad eccezione di casi particolari, di spessore ridotto. Questo consente alla segheria di ridurre al minimo lo scarto degli smussi delle tavole e conseguentemente massimizzare l’efficienza del processo produttivo.

Sideboards

:indicates the first boards obtained when the trunk is cut: they are therefore the most external with regard to the centre and, excluding special cases, are narrower. This makes it possible for the sawmill to reduce the waste from board chamfering and, as a result, maximise production process efficiency.

U/S:

abbreviazione di “Unsorted”, i pacchi sono composti da tavole di qualità comprese dalla prima alla quarta non in percentuali prestabilite.

U/S:

 abbreviation of “Unsorted”, the packages are made up of boards with quality that is between the first and the fourth level but not in pre-set percentages.

S/F Knotty Pine:

“Saw Falling Knotty Pine”, si riferisce a tavole ottenute dalla parte più alta del tronco, caratterizzate dalla presenza diffusa di piccoli nodi legati. E’ un prodotto prevalentemente impiegato nella realizzazione di Perline.

S/F Knotty Pine:

“Saw Falling Knotty Pine” refers to boards obtained from the highest part of the trunk, characterised by the presence of small knots. This product is mostly used when making Perline.

Green Split:

“tagliato verde”, listoni ricavati da tavole fresche. Inoltre, con la dicitura “Fuori Cuore”, ci si riferisce ad un prodotto ricavato da regioni del tronco esterne all’area del durame; viceversa, parlando di “Cuore Spaccato”, si fa riferimento ai listoni ottenuti dalle zone più interne che comprendono il durame.

Green Split:

scantling obtained from fresh boards. In addition, the words “Outside Centre” refer to a product obtained from regions of the trunk that are outside the heartwood; viceversa, when speaking of “Broken Heart” reference is made to the scantling obtained from the innermost areas that include the heartwood.
